About Baghchal Game 2016

Welcome to the new PC Game "Baghchal Game 2016", is an old traditional Nepali Game that is most popular game among the nepali people of Sikkim, Darjeeling, part of northeast region of India and Nepal. Usually, they play this game when they go for the fodder of cow in the forest. They make Baghchal court on the flat stone or plain floor scrawling with the stick or sharp stone. Shape of the court is square but within the square lines are drawn in different directions , each five lines are horizontal and vertical, each two lines are diagonal and intersect each other and four short lines are drawn in a kite shape.There are two players; one is tiger player and another is goat player. There are four tigers and 20 goats. The game is over when tigers eat the goats by vacant the goat place and if tigers capture 11 goats, tigers will win (in Nepal, if tigers capture 5 goats, tigers will win) or when the goats lock/block all the possible path of the tigers, goats will win. Game Version

Baghchal Game 2016 is available in Trial and Pro Version.

Trial Version:

Some components of the Baghchal Game 2016 is available in trial version. This trial version has no time limit and expiry date of installation. It is separated from its pro-version. In the trial version, none of the settings are allowed to change and you have play this game as it is.

Pro-Version:

In Pro-version of this game, you can use all the settings, menus and options which are available. You can play this game human versus human, human versus computer and computer versus computer. You can save this current game and any time you can continue from where you have left.

Note: Logical thinking of computer players are weak because a perfect theory or logical algorithm was not found any where and it was developed as per human knowledge but not in any formula or logical algorithm. Installation

Before installing Baghchal Game 2016

It is necessary to install the software "dotNetFx40_Client_x86_x64" for the OS; windows XP or Windows 7 only but not for the Windows 8 and higher. In case, the Baghchal Game 2016 unable to run in your pc having windows 8 and higher, you may install the dotNet software.
Make sure that your system Date/Time are set correctly.
Close all applications, including all virus detection programs (not necessary to turn off but if it is open, please close it) and applications that are open in the system tray or on the Windows taskbar.
Make sure that you have enough free disk space available on the drive where you want to install the Baghchal Game 2016.
To avoid file and memory conflicts, close all running programs and delete the contents of your system's TEMP folders. [Press window button + r > type "temp" > OK > select temp files and delete it.]
If you are reinstalling, please uninstall the old Baghchal Game 2016. And do not change the pre-installed location of Baghchal Game 2016.
Baghchal recommends that you install Baghchal Game 2016 in its own directory to avoid conflicts with previous versions.

Installing Baghchal Game 2016

Before you begin, read "Before installing Baghchal Game 2016" above.

Insert Disc 1 in the CD drive.
If the Intro screen does not start automatically, (for windows 7 and below) click Start on the Windows taskbar, and click Run. Or (for Windows 8 and higher) press Window button+R and then Type D:\Intro.exe or D:\Setup.exe, where D is the letter that corresponds to the CD drive.
Follow the instructions for installing the application.
Serial Number is given in coverpage of the CD.

OR if you have got downloaded software in zip folder.

Copy the application or extract the application from the zip folder.
Paste it where you want to keep the software.
Open the application folder.
Click on the setup icon of Baghchal Game 2016.
Follow the instructions for installing the application.
Serial Number is given in Text file (Which is packed within the software folder.

Uninstalling Baghchal Game 2016

For Windows 8

On the Destop, press Window Button + I > Control panel > programs and features.
Baghchal you are not allowed to keep your user files such as preferences, presets, user-created fills, and customized files. You will be directly prompted to remove this game. For more details, please refer manual help.

Baghchal Game Settings

The following menus are the setting of this game:-

To go to setting of this game; go to menu bar click on SETTINGS.
Background Music;
1. To enable background music, put check on Background music.
2. To choose background track, highlight Background Music
  put check on a track (that you wish to listen).
3. To disable background music, remove check on Background music.
Move Sound;
1. To enable Move Sound, put check on Move Sound
2. To disable Move Sound, remove check on Move Sound.
Goat Sound;
1. To enable Goat Sound, put check on Goat Sound
2. To disable Goat Sound, remove check on Goat Sound.
Cursor Sound;
1. To enable Cursor Sound, put check on Cursor Sound
2. To disable Cursor Sound, remove check on Cursor Sound.
Tiger Growl;
1. To enable Tiger Growl, put check on Tiger Growl
2. To disable Tiger Growl, remove check on Tiger Growl.
Beep;
1. To enable Beep, put check on Beep
2. To disable Beep, remove check on Beep.
Auto Save Game;
1. To enable Auto Save Game, put check on Auto Save Game
2. To disable Auto Save Game, remove check on Auto Save Game.
Show Hints;
1. To enable Show Hints, put check on Show Hints
2. To disable Show Hints, remove check on Show Hints.
Game player;
1. To change game player; click on the buttons that you see two buttons below the Game Player.
2. In your single click, it changes the buttons text from Computer to Human or vice-versa.
Game Level;
1. To change game level; select any level,
  there are three game levels; Easy, Medium and Hard.
Reset;
1. To play new game or to clear the current game; click on Reset Button
New Game;
1. Go to Home>New or press Control + N from your keyboard.
Undo;
1. To go to previous move/to reject currently move piece in the current game; click on Undo Button
2. To pause the computer vs computer game, just click on undo button and keep the mouse arrow over there.
3. To refresh/continue the pause game computer vs computer remove your mouse arrow from there
  or move your mouse arrow over there.
Minimize;
1. To minimize the game window; click on Minimize Button
Quit;

To close the Baghchal Game 2016; click on Quit Button Button or
Go to Home>Exit or press Control + F4 from your keyboard

Make sure you have open Baghchal Game.
if you want to play goat with computer;
you must have selected the goat player to Human and the tiger player to Computer.
To change Game player click on the button of Tiger and Goat. To know more please refer manual help.
if you want to play tiger with computer;
you must have selected the tiger player to Human and the goat player to Computer.
To change Game player click on the button of Tiger and Goat. To know more please refer manual help.
To play human verses human; change the both player to Human.
To move goat piece into Baghchal court;
First you select a box in Bagchal and double click on a goat.
To move tiger piece into Baghchal court;
First you select a corner box in Baghchal court and double click on a tiger.
To move a tiger within Baghchal court you must have entered all the tigers into Baghchal court;
Firstly, you click a tiger that you want to move.
Secondly, double click on a highlighted box or a box
(where you want to drop but tiger piece can be move only to possible path).
To move a goat within Baghchal court you must have entered all the goats into Baghchal court;
Firstly, you click a goat that you want to move.
Secondly, double click on a highlighted box or a box
(where you want to drop but goat piece can be move only to possible path).
To save the current game put check on "Auto Save Game" from the menu "Settings";
You can continue the game when you wish to play.
If you do not want to save the current game put uncheck on "Auto Save Game" from the menu "Settings";
You cannot continue the previous game but it allows you to play new game.
To change the game level; select a level that you wish to play.

Read Rules of Baghchal Game

Baghchal Court:

Shape of Baghchal Court is square.
It has got 25 boxes.
Length and breadth is not constant but if you assume 20 cm as length your breadth must be 20 cm.
Five lines are drawn horizontally parallel and in equal inter distance.
Five lines are drawn vertically parallel and in equal inter distance.
From the four corner two lines are drawn diagonally intersect in the middle.
Short four lines are drawn in a kite shape that
the line begins from the middle of sidle line to the middle of another and
similarly, inter-connected each other. See main window
The boxes can be in any colour or Baghchal court may have crossed point and no box.
Remember: You will find two coloured boxes that black and white
but it doesn't have especial sense and it is used to identify easily only.

Tiger:

Total tigers are 4.

Goat:

Total goats are 20.

Player:

Total players are two; goat player and tiger player.

Move:

Tiger Move/Jump;
- First of all, the four tigers must be in the corner of Baghchal Court before game start.
- To enter tiger piece into Baghchal Court; firstly, you select a corner box and then double click on a tiger piece.
- 1. - To move tiger piece within Baghchal court;
      Make sure all the tigers are entered in Baghchal court,
      Firstly, you click on a tiger (that you wish to move).
      Secondly, move your mouse arrow to a highlighted box or a box (that where you wish to drop) and
      double click on it. (Note: Tiger can be move to possible path only)
    - Tiger can be move to its nearest box only but the box must be empty.
    - Tiger can jump over a goat piece by vacant the goat place
      and drop to a nearest box from the goat if the path falls in same line.
  2. Goat Move;
    - Make sure the four tigers must be in the corner of Baghchal Court before game start.
    - To enter goat piece into Baghchal Court; firstly, you select a box and then double click on a goat piece.
    - To move goat piece within Baghchal Court;
      - Make sure all the goats are entered in Baghchal Court,
      - You will get one empty box after all the goats are entered in and no goat is eaten by tiger.
      - Click a goat (that you want to move) and move you mouse arrow to a highlighted box
        or a box (that where you want to drop) and double click on it.
        (Note: Goat can be move to possible path only)
      - Goat can be move to its nearest box only but the box must be empty.
